Recognition of Prior Learning for 22133VIC Vocational Graduate Certificate in Neuro-Linguistic Programming

Recognition of Prior Learning means recognition of competencies currently held, regardless of how, when or where the learning occurred.  This includes any combination of formal or informal training and education, work experience or general life experience.  Consistent with Standard 8.2 of the AQTF Standards for RTOs, RTOs providing the Vocational Graduate Certificate in Neuro-Linguistic Programming must:

  • ensure that RPL is offered to all applicants on enrolment and
  • have an RPL process that is structured to minimise the time and cost to the applicant and provides adequate information and support to enable applicants to gather reliable evidence to support their claim for recognition of competencies currently held.

For RPL to be granted the course applicant must provide quality evidence that he/she:

  • has attained the competencies described in the unit/s of competency that are being claimed
  • possesses current competency in the unit/s that are being claimed
  • possesses the required underpinning knowledge specified in the unit/s of competency
  • has applied the relevant competencies in a context that is applicable to managing non-routine satellite operations.

The evidence which has been gathered by the assessor or the candidate, as proof of current competency may take a variety of forms. The assessor must ensure that such evidence complies with the rules of evidence.

Participants who have successfully completed the 21095VIC Course in Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming may apply for credit transfer for units of the Vocational AZ ZGraduate Certificate in Neuro-Linguistic Programming.  A mapping of the units of the 21095VIC Course in Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming and the units of this course is included in Appendix A of the Accreditation document.

All other applicants seeking RPL will be required to attend an interview in person or by telephone to establish the units for which they seek RPL. If they wish to proceed with RPL after the interview,  they will be invited to attend the next convenient two day practical assessment for the units of their claim and any prerequisite units. On successful completion of the practical assessment they will be required to complete the written assessment within a period of three months.

Applicants for RPL who cannot demonstrate satisfactory competencies for any unit of their claim will be offered training, tasks and coaching to attain competency in that unit.
